description  This is how I paint the bumpers and IMO lokk a lot more realistic then the stickers. After painting the inside, I use a fresh scalpel to cut the outside protection film. A steady hand is needed otherwise you will ruin the details. And windows rubbers will look terrible if not cut perfect. Then I use PS paint decanted in a bottle and sprayed with low pressor. The last layer is a mist layer so the finish will become a bit matt. When you pull off the rest of the outside foil detail is perfect! BTW, this is my 30th anniversary Porsche which I'm building, keep posted for updates. Thanks and good luck. Maybe you better use this method on a more usual bodyset and not on a 934 if you are not sure

I will say this is a great technique, I`ve used it with great success with some of my builds. And my hats off to you for building your 934! I look forward to the outcome!

I have used this method with success, but admit I cheated a little. I sealed down the edges with a coat of Bob Divelys liquid mask. Once dried, it keeps the bleed and mask moving to a minimum. There are several paints that just do not spray well at low pressure. I find that even stuck down and the line retraced with an exacto it is best to spray towards the edge rather than into it. Nice use on the windows as well!

I considered using this method. After all, why not? Factory external masking. Just wasn't sure if I could trust the film not lifting and getting paint 'creeping' underneath. Seems like it works just fine.. Great!! Love to see this finished!

Now this should have been in the Halloween competition for it's quite SCARY!!! Man, you've got nerves and ball of steel! Looks quite nice though! On the other hand, you can just order a new body, no problem (i did).

Excellent way to do the details. So much better than those silly decals that will lift and start to look tatty in a few months. l only wish they made this with a hard shell. So much better looking.
