description  Got this TXT in a deal with jsourbeck (Jim's Hobby Shop). It's got multiple layers of dust on it and needs a full rebuild, but it is a great truck. Alloy battery strap/heatsink, alloy center shock mount, alloy bumper braces, skid plates. Still needs a set of bearings, but that will go with the rebuild. Thought I needed oil shocks but it already has a good set on it. The plan for power is either a Novak 828 or a Traxxas EVX, with twin 550 Mabuchi motors. No idea yet on body but I may find a donor Clod, use the body and sell the gearboxes. It'll just be an all-around bash truck.

And to think, I almost traded this for an E-Maxx! What was I thinking??? Once the truck arrived my mind changed instantly and I realized how bada$$ this thing really is. The stock articulation amazes me, there's metal everywhere, and it's big without being ugly.

UPDATE: New pics. Doing a full rebuild with bearings and cleaning everything. Installed the new 550s. ESC will be the Novak 828-HV (8-28 cells) once I finish the wiring. Power will be 14.4v from two shotgun packs that fit nicely in the stock battery tray with a small post mod. Can't wait to run this thing...
UPDATE 2: Finished the basic build. All electronics are done and new pics are posted. Hopefully the 828 will suit the truck well, because it's pretty strongly integrated into it. I wired up an adapter to run two batteries into one input lead set, and the motors are wired in parallel to one ESC output lead set. I modified the battery case slightly by raising the strap mounts with two servo mounts. It makes a pair of 6-cells fit side by side perfectly. Tested basic operation and first impressions are that it steers like a supertanker and has more torque than I can describe in words. Just need to find a body.
UPDATE 3: Been for a few runs so far but no real test yet. Still waiting on bearings! Installed upper link braces from RC4WD. Installed lexan ESC shield.
UPDATE 4: Installed an alloy motor mount and got a spare gear set thanks to flux density. Can't wait to run this truck yet. Still needs the F-100 body.
