description  My other half asked me to build her a car. I was well shocked! anyway i was going to build her a fighter buggy out of parts i have lying around but she said it looked ugly! I needed to think, what to make her? what car would suit her best? taking into consideration that her RC skills were next to nothing, i had a job on my hands! M03? nah as it would cost too much to get up to rally standard and, i mostly run my cars off road in the park. I could give her my Bugged hopper, NO CHANCE! Pumpkin? Over my dead body! (Put the frying pan down dear ) I didnt have a clue! Then it hit me! (an idea not the frying pan) a Hornet! the perfect beginners car! now all i had to do was fined one! But before i spent any money i had a dig around in my large collection of spares to see if i had any hornet/hopper parts. as luck would have it i found i had a set of gears, arms, bumper, pinion gear and oil shocks (but no springs and the oil inside was like mud!) and side bumpers (I used the bugged hopper ones as i had no use for them) So i ordered the parts i needed on the net! three days later i had a built and painted the hornet in my hands but i still needed some wheels & tyres. I then remembered the fighter buggy parts i had and, as luck would have it found a set of wheels & tyres! I had to make some homemade hexes so i could fit the rear wheels but it didnt take me too long to knock something up! I fitted a std 540 ballraces and TEU101-BK along with a 27mhz radio I also managed to get hold of some orignal wheels & tyres but i thought i would keep them for my bugged hopper (they work better on the grass than the paddles) So i handed the hornet over and she was impressed! we went to the park for hornets first major run and it went very well, a bit faster with the larger wheels and a little more stable (Not much mind!) The mrs was having a blast and i almost felt a little jealous (I knew i should have brought one of mine out too!) So i asked for a quick go. To cut a long story short i flipped it on a small tree root and snapped the front bodymount off! Ooo you should of seen the dirty looks i got! But it was nothing The Rugged Man couldnt fix!

I really like this, great car. Those fighter wheels fit nicely with the black/yellow hornet theme.
