| description | Carbon Fibre Radio Deck
Designed to go with my carbon fibre chassis SRB's, made from the same aerospace grade carbon, 2mm thick. I sketched out the design on paper, transferred it to thin card, then marked out the carbon sheet. I used a diamond wheel wet tile saw to cut the shape out, then Dremelled & filed the final shape with a vacuum hose to my workbench to extract the dust. It mounts on Super Champ rear deck posts & custom turned front posts, slightly longer than stock SC ones. The plate is designed to carry the race pack either across or along the chassis, allowing me to experiment with different layouts to balance the handling. It took me around 8 hours to design & make. Update: I've made a Mk.II version with a couple of additional holes to route wiring. Pictures added of it assembled with the race pack across the chassis. It won't fit a Rough Rider body this way though. Comments always welcome in my showrooms. |

Mk.II carbon deck completed. See pics at the bottom.
Thanks for the comments everyone. I may vary the design slightly for the next one which is destined for my wide track Scorcher.
Very nice work.
