description  The original Ministock. Brilliant! Ģ50 all in including a 4.8v battery, that infamous blue peter style charger and a complete car all in a box roughly 12 inches by 7 . Just add your own 2 channel radio. Now that was cheap racing ! I got this for Ģ50 from fleapay just before christmas. It came almost complete bar the charger and the battery. The shell shown on the car is a lexan repro but looks ok. The original shell is pretty trashed so a trip to kamtec should sort that. It has the original Plastic molded window nets which is nice as they usually got smashed out first or second run. Again will be restored and run. The key to getting these to go in a controlled manner (no diff or suspension at all, unlike the modern V12's) was to put a low torque, smooth accelerating stock or silver can in and stick to the 4.8 or 6v packs, get into a smooth rytham around the track and dont be tempted to floor it (just like a slot car ). Any more power and it would just bounce, donut, snake, flip, disintigrate the tyres etc. Although I did once as a daft young teenager put a 13 double ,pro12 carbon axle, ball diff, plus a 9.6v pack and esc in to see just how fast it went in a straight line. It was bl**dy leathal and despite the diff and axle almost unsteerable in any way The exploded diagram is perfect too. If you would like a scan just email me and I will send a copy through.

@ terry. My first ministock I used a sharp chisel and a big hammer to cut the windows! Aahh the stupidity of youth

The plastic window nets are good to still have. The early minis had proper metal wire mesh instead. I remember building a shop demonstrator when they first came out and had to cut the mesh windows out of the supplied square sheet with side cutters. No wonder they went to moulded plastic ones.

Nice Ebay find. Not many of the originals left with bumpers intact plus the box! Have fun with it!
