| description | I thought I'd put up a few picks of my latest project. It's not quite finished yet but I had the opportunity to take it to the beach for a few poser pics.
The idea for this one came from 7.2inchdriver and his roof-rack equipped Baja. Great stuff mate!!
I used an original VW colour on the body (can't recall the name!!) and then coated it in matt clear for a different look.
The roof racks are made from brass stock and the surf board is from the new Hilux kit painted in a period style.
The wheels, motor cover and gearbox cover are are super-quality items from Rad then painted. Thanks again for the awesome stuff mate!
The interior is a Scollins kit with the driver being a Holiday buggy item cut and grafted in.
Some more pics to follow and some action shots when I get it finished..
Comments welcome!

That colour is known as 'cockpit green' in the Tamiya range
That's an awsome looking bug mate x] is the surf board from a hilux kit? And what about the lil things that keep it tied to the roof lol? Are they also from a hilux kit or custom made? (:
Thanks! It's actually a genuine VW colour but I can't remember the name of it..
I love this car - what is that color?
Superb work! Best scorchers i've seen.
This is F A N T A S T I C ! A winner anywhere! Brilliant modeling and imagination at work.
Really sweet looking ss lots of really nice details
Just gorgeous - background helps it look great too
A cowboy surfer dude. At least he's got a sweet ride. Looks so plain but jeez its sooooo fine.
Awesome details make this such a killer big. add to my favorites
amazing job! Very very nice!
AWESOME! You made another winner, straight to my favorites she goes.
what a great job of the beetle and realy nice photos add to my favs
Fantastic bug. The detail on the interior is amazing - love the tropical shirt on the driver. So many great details. One question - where are you finding the mini Mobil Pegasus decals? I am trying to do a scale 'Outlaw' Porsche 356 in the style of Gary Emory and I could use a few for the front quarter. Again, first rate work on the Bug and great shots on the beach.
Thanks for the comments guys!! Sorry I've been slack Buggyloop, I'll get back to you asap. I'll put up some chassis shots etc tonight. It looked nice and sunny but it was actually quite cold and windy, so much for summer!!
cool looking bug ! i like the surfboard and the drivers/interior ! Could get envious when i see the australian sun and the beach.... - we have deepest winter here in Austria...
The 3rd pic would make an awesome desktop wallpaper!
