I think This truck has become the most popular thing I've ever posted lol! I really appreciated the positive response from the first static pics, but running my rigs is the best part of the build so here is the first run with pictures courtesy of moondoggie who is getting used to his new camera and wanted an excuse to try it out. The snow was melting making for a nice mix of ice, wet snow, hard snow and mud, great fun with power from a 35T lathe motor and rear dif locked. Thanks for looking.

1 Desert truck in the snow lol 1 lots of GC for what I do with it 1 1 1 1 1 1 battery change 1 1

That turned out nice. The silver in the paint looks good with the other colors.

It is such a cool looking truck Seth, you really nailed it!! I think you alone will boost Tamiya's sales on the Tundra, I know I am thinking of getting one just so I can paint it the same as yours

Most interesting paint scheme. Say do you know if Tamiya made changes/improvements to the chassis on top of the Hilux Highlift?

Thanks guys, yes they made a few changes that I see, it has a longer wheelbase, has shorter leafs, has two battery box positions and two tranny positions (high and stock location) mine is built higher which makes battery removeal more difficult because the cab is in the way but I just charge the pack in the truck also the frame rails are notched so it much easier to remove the tranny when work is required. It really is a nice kit and from a detail standpoint this body is the nicest Tamiya has ever done on any hard body.
