description  The TGR was designed especially for this body. The entire design was made as low as possible to clear the scale dimensions of the TS020. Tamiya even lowered the brake lever by 2mm from the TGX part, in order to clear the low rear bodywork. The air cleaner and head also clear by just millimeters. The car is unbelievable on the track. I have added several hop-ups, including a ball differential, aluminum steering linkages, full lights (in the HPI buckets), aluminum knuckles, and a specially ported RS.15 with the TGR low profile cooling head on it.

Lovely model you got there !

You are correct FnF. I ordered a new dremel bit, because if you use the wrong one, it will ball up the melted plastic. A sharp cutting ball will make clean cuts and allow me to get crisp edges around the catwalks. Good eye...

Thats a beautiful body one thing wrong, you havent cut out the inner wheel arch at the front.

I actually used the headlight buckets out of the HPI body to light this body. If you look in the pics, the headlight openings are masked and clear, instead of using the red decal. The chassis already has a nice light system with turnsignals, brakelights, taillights, headlights, and fog lights. I'll post pics of it soon.

I think without doubt Tamiya bodys are the best. That looks superb and the piccys could only be bettered by adding lights, then some moody twighlight pictures on track.Very nice

I agree. It is my absolute favorite 8th scale RC car I have, and love running it. The chassis was actually designed for the TS020 body, and when you see how the body interfaces with the TGR, you really appreciate what Tamiya accompished with this model. THX
