description  It's taken me a couple of weeks to finish the build of my Rising Storm - mainly snatched hours after work and at the weekend between other stuff. All-in-all I really enjoyed making this kit and it came together quite quickly at the end. I have to say though, even as quite a proficient modeller, there were several 'Tamiya frustrating moments' which left me scratching my head! It's all good in the end though. I fired my Rising Storm up tonight...my god, it's a LOT faster than I imagined it would be!!! God knows what this thing must go like with the Sport Tunes motor in it!?! This weekend I'll be spraying paint. After a LOT of deciding and re-deciding over colours, I think I've made a choice. In the end I'm opting for a bit of a retro NASCAR style. We'll have to wait and see what it turns out like.... I'll be hopping my my car with some new wheels and tyres (already ordered), probably some alumiumium shocks and whatever else I see along the way. Doesn't look like there's that much ground clearance on this thing, so I could see the underside getting some right hammer.

Congrats on your first build. Problem is, now you'll want to start buying hop up parts for it, then you'll realise you really want a Buggy Champ or an on-road car and basically it'll all go downhill from here and in a few years time you'll have about thirty cars taking up loft space....
