description  With the rise of 1/10th 'true scale' touring cars in the late 90s came the release of some nice shells. Parma had a range of shells which for a short while were 'the' shells to have on your racer - these still had quite a good resemblance to the real thing unlike the modern more aerodynamic shells, where only the light stickers give the game away as to what the shell is supposed to be. Below is a Laguna & Vectra both sprayed in the BTCC colours of that time & decorated with the supplied stickers, also an RS Escort, all were moulded from really thick Lexan by today's standards! I still own the Laguna, mainly as I got it signed at a BTCC race meeting at Silverstone, by both Jason Plato & Alain Menu who drove the real thing. Incidentally on the same day my friend got his Audi bodied touring car signed by Frank Beila who took quite a bit of interest in the car itself which was a mis-match of parts my mate had used to build his chassis using mainly Kyosho ZXR & Tamiya TA-01 parts - we found out later that Frank Beila was a keen R/C racer!
