Just got this off a fellow TC member and am really happy with it, always wanted one of these and now at last I got one. I know they don’t handle well but I love the look of the Grasshopper, its pure nostalgia for me. This was the first Tamiya I saw in the flesh, over 20 years ago now, and fell in love with it immediately. This will be a runner after I’ve installed new electrics including a Sport Tuned motor. Shall attach 2 spotlights and fix the damaged spotlight fixture on the left side of the car, not sure how but I’ll find a way. Will get some sand paddle tyres too, for when I go on holiday to the coast. Going to do a few other aesthetic things too but not going to get too carried away as this will be thrashed and put through its paces. Am really happy right now, can’t convey how much I love this buggy!

Nostalgia it is! Please post a DIY on how to fix the mountings for the spotlights, mine are broken too....

Not sure yet swedishking, looks like a pen top cut down and a bit of super glue to hold, then a long screw through the whole lot to secure it all together. Will do a DIY if I get the time, but its rare these days unfortunately. Email me a pic of the damaged area so I can see it.

The damage is identical. Was thinking about gluing a cut of pencil too!

Thats how to do it, just get sanding trimming and glueing etc. Dremels are quite handy for this kind of thing.
