| description | Hi folks, i have completed my project. its a mclaren mp4/23 2008 world champion season replica. I'm a big fan of f1 and to replicate a model which lewis drove is a real pleasure to work. The cars chassis is from a f60. bodyshell is from a tamiya f104 pro. i have made many modifications to the bodyshell. I custom made the 2008 season side wings, barge boards, front bridge wing, antenna, new front wheel fairings, roof camera unit and other small details too. Front arms are cladded with tamiya carbon sticker, The original slick tires have been disguised to look like groove tires and lastly i did the burnt titanium exhaust look. The body paint is from tamiya ps48 semi gloss silver anodized aluminum, red is tamiya ps20 flourescent red. decals are from ebay. It took me around 3 weeks to complete and i'm very happy about the result. I hope you guys will enjoy the pics. Its a shelf queen now. Thanks for looking.

That's a really excellent job! Did you put tape on the tires to simulate the grooves? Do F201 tires fit on these wheels?
