Whoa! Looks the part. Very nice!
Awesome! Cool Cortina.
Yeah the Anglia is suitably protected from Tea-leafs
Great body! I love old skool Fords, my fav is the Capri, hence my nickname lol... I have RetroRacing Escort MkII that I will do up in the spring. It will be my hill climb racer. The Anglia looks shap too!
Very nice i love the lotus cortina .Your mates anglia is nice i hope it has a decent alarm and immobilizer fitted as it gets really depressing reading about all the old school fords stolen on the face book group . [Click here]
beautifull! Great Anglia as well, I love that colour grey.
@ Biscuit, i've sprayed 100s of shells & this seemed like any other Lexan/Polycarb shell i've sprayed before, i.e flexible & plyable, my only complaint would be that the material is a bit thin below the rear bumper, but most of this gets cut off anyway. The shell is in two halfs so that it can be moulded with the undercuts that give it the scale looks, if the shell was in one piece you wouldn't be able to get the shell off the mould. Tamiya achieve the undercuts for their scale shells with very expensive dies with multiple parts that project out & then get retracted before the shell is removed. The two halves in this case are screwed together (you can just see the three tiny screw heads) I've also used thin double sided tape as added support. This shell is going onto a bit of a homebrew car that has a rather interesting history. Back when touring cars first came out my mate couldn't afford a new chassis so modified his Kyosho Laser ZXR, shortenening the chassis & adding TA01 wishbones/hubs & driveshafts to get the 190mm TC proportions 8-)
Like I said very nice shells, but I think they are very brittle, bit like the old traxxas shells not lexan, would love one but not going to spend all that time on them just for them to fall apart.
Fantastic job, but why do they have to make these in 2 halfs?
Jim Clark Spirit !!!
These shells come in two pieces. How does it fit together? Thanks and nice work!
True classic, there was only ever one Cortina and it was the Lotus version! If only modern cars had character like this
Wow that's a fantastic paint job, almost seems like a shame to use it.
LOVELY
i remember this car as my father got one back in the early 70ies-
looks great, very nice paint job
That looks great,nice one
Fantastic!!
Love these RetroRacing shells. Will be getting a Cortina for a TL01 project that I started. And Anglias do have a special place for me
Nice colours, nice car...
