| description | Hi all! Did a little more progress on my Beetle car, not so much on the paint, just a few coasts for some rust and primer. Hat to order some smaller wheels from a mini, but after i got them they are to small, they dont look right Aaaarrhhh!
I was a bit frustrated about those wheels so i started a new build: Making my own scale Beetle engine. Foundt some stuff what i hat lying and some different parts! Making this engine from a little pic out of a magazine and with a little fantasy, the picture in the magazine was so bad so i build t on my own way, tel me how do they look!
Makes olso a rack on top of the engine! Some old Beetle,s have a rack there, i see a Beetle with a rack a few weeks ago,so i hat to make it! Started with some little work on the interior! Not long finished yet, have to compleet the interior and will make also a roofrack, will do some more on the paint and have to find other wheels, but meby i have foundt some other ones! Tell me what you think so far, idea,s and suggestions are welcome. Thanks for watching!

Thanks Scorchio! I think your laptop know the difference between a Beetle and a Scorcher lol!
Doh! No idea how that happened. Guess my laptop knows how much I like it
Thank you Goat Boy, no i did not cut the boot myself, it was how i get it!
That engine is truly stunning! It's given me a few ideas as to where to begin with mine now. Did you cut the boot yourself or was it like that when you got it?
Thanks for all the great comments guys!
Well i kinda giggled when i saw the picture of all the little engine parts. but when i saw it in primer i thought, not to bad, looks pretty good. The work looks like its going good. But as i dont build cars with this kinda look i cant offer any advise. I think you got the project well in hand.
LOVING THIS! Straight into my favourites

Nice project, very promising.
That is wicked Alfons! Brilliant.
Looks like a cool project Alfons
Yeah......thanks Daniel, the cheapest engine also and thats not the only one! It coast 0,0% on fuel lol!
Very cool Alfons, looks like a fun project, love the engine made from recycled junk
cool engine
Thanks Christian, i do a hole build here rcjeeps.com! I wonder that you havnt seen it there.
really fun build alfons, cool old bug.
O wow.... thanks so much guys @Morten I like those wheels too, but a,m not sure yet! Dont no if i will use the rack for skiing or something else, but i will see! @Mighty peesh you have to try it, and you will love it. @Derek this woudt my most detailed beetle ever i think! @Stickerbod i will find out some other wheels too, i,m not sure i will use these ones! @Kees thanks my freind i love the engine too. The driver is not the real one, just for how it looks! I send you a mail about your Blackfoot driver.
looking good there
Hi Alfons, Great work on the Beetle! I like it allready. The engine is awesome: looking sooo real and made of rubbish, that's cool! I like the wheels too, the high wall suits it. But the driver might have hair instead of a helmet? I have a leftover Blackfoot head without helmet if you like, it would be an honor for him if he could ride your Beetle
Looks great so far, why not use some of the solid SRB wheel covers then fit your hub caps?
This is taking shape Alfons!! A very interesting build !!
the engine is looking great!! just got into scratch building myself - so satisfying. keep it up.
WOW! I absolutely love that engine!!!! So cool that you built it from scratch with some spare parts. I think those GH wheels with thos hub caps will look really great too. My first 1:1 car was a Beetle and I had a little rack for skies attached in the back. Top work mate!
