Ah Daz87UK, romantic red is almost the spit of Calypso! most people wouldnt know unless it was parked next to a Calypso Bimmer! Romantic is a special colour used on the last E34 M5. Plus this is my track slag, so im not to bothered about keeping it factory std.
That's the equivilent of going to a friends house, eating his food, slouching on his sofa, watching his tv, then going to sleep in his bed after *getting friendly* with his wife then telling him that he's a lousy friend... IT JUST DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT... NOOOOO... Keep it Calypso
That's my baby! Love my E30 one of my must do jobs this year is strip and paint her. Gonna do it in romantic red though as its a little nicer than calypso in my eyes
Still want that E30... Calypso is calling me
crazyhare, thats the original car, got to be worth a fortune! Michael jackson wanted to borrow the original for his movie, Moonwalker. But Bertone said, No Way pal! So he had three replicas made, one i painted, is number 3. Other two have been destroyed. So As far as we know, only one real car and one fake exist.
One has recently been up for sale at the Villa d'Este - is it the same one? [Click here]
Thats looks like a work of art! Amezing.
hypercool
looks like a fantasy car made by HOTWHEELS
It is a shame about chassis, as it was only one of the three props that had a chassis left. and now that other two are gone...this is the only M Jackson car left. I wonder if the new owner is converting it back to Moonwalker speck?? As it would be worth alot more i think.
Shame it doesn't still have it's original chassis. For those who don't recognise it, this was one of the original concept prototypes for the Lancia Stratos.
What an eye-catcher! Must be an honour to work on and drive that thing! Thanks for sharing, mate.Lovely
Generationx, yes it is. I have a few copies
Do I remember this appearing in one of the classic magazines too - maybe Classic And Sports Car? I'll have the copy somewhere if so.
swedishwiking,It arrived with a formula ford chassis. But Andy Saunders wanted to make it road leagal... So he based it on a modefied fiat X19 platform. It was a nightmare to drive though as side visability is pants...generationx, it has since been sold to a collector in U.S.A. it was only in Brick lane for Intersection mag event, back in 2008.pinny, its a very tight fit lol. It had reversing cammeras as rear vision was rubbish
Stunning !!!!
Looks abit like the ,Pink Pather car
Itīs Bertone alright, cool car! What chassis is it based on? Would it be possible to get Michael restored too?
WOW! What a cool project. Is it still in the Brick Lane gallery? If so, which one, I'd love to go and take a look.
You have the hands of god....
it's a beauty!! how can anyone fit inside there?? lying down? haha
there is something very cool about early 80's supercars, and thats a fantastic resto you have done there! Awesome!
