This car was the first FWD, Tamiya ever released. Also my first Tamiya onroad-car back in 1995. Body is beautifully detailed with mirrors and those shiny chromeparts. The great advance of this chassistype is that you can build it as front or a rear wheeldrivecar without any extra parts. But there is also a negative side. First is the poor steering. There is a Hop-Up Option available (Aluminium Racing steering set) which makes it a little better but the main construction isn´t great. Also the front and rear suspension with only one damper isn´t state of the art. But it is a simple car, fun to built, and looks fantastic. It´s also really fun to drive, because it´s light and really fast for a standard 540 motor. With the right modifications ( ball bearings, steering set, better tyres, oil filled dampers and hotter motor ) you have cool and stable racer which makes great fun on the racetrack. For me also a very collectable car. One of the new Tamiya classics.
