The SuperSabre is the swansong of the legendary Hotshot family, twin cousin to the ppopular Boomerang. Red plastic bits in lieu of Boomerang's blue, the red CVA shocks are slightly shorter than latter's yellow ones. Drivetrain is pure Hotshot as are the classic white wheels, clothed in a futuristic (Honda NSX inspired?) bodyshell.

I preordered a SuperSabre in 1987 because I wanted a 4WD and it was affordable and looked more spaceage than the Boomerang. This car assembled easily (1 afternoon) and provided hours of kiddy RC fun... even taking it racing at one stage. Being last in the "Hotshot"-derived family, it uses a proven drivetrain and is relatively problemfree - biggest expense so far has been lost driveshafts (ok ok, so I admit if the suspension didn't get broken the driveshafts wouldn't fall out). Boomerang's steering rack design is not the most precise mechanism invented, but it does the job adequately with a 10' turning circle; but we shouldn't compare 4WD to 2WD cars.
