Just getting back into the hobby, and looking to build a Rally crossover track and an on-road track in my back yard. I want to only run older scale looking Tamyia cars. Can't wait.
6-21-08:Well I've been back into the RC hobby for about 3 years now. With a lot of help from vintagetamiya website, I learned what Tamiya rally cars were made, and what chassis they came with. I now own 6 Tamiya Rally cars that I run on my dirt rally track in my backyard. I have also been bitten by the 1/12 bug big time, and have collected over 20 new vintage Can Am style bodies, and around 10 vintage 1/12 pan cars for restoration. Next summer I will cut out a 75'x35' road course in my back yard. I'll then pave it with cement, to run the 1/12 cars. It will have a 2.5' elevation change, a 65' straight, a 12' carousal with slight banking, and a nice tight hair pin. The lanes are going to be only 4' wide, and my house rules will only allow a stock 540 mubuchi armature, so the cars will be considerably slower. I'm really looking forward to it.
