My first childhood contact to Tamiya was the Frog around the year  ´87 i think, and i was at the age of 7. More or less used as Toy it only lives some month. In the mid  ´90 ,Santa brought me a Monster Beetle and so i rediscovered and started to repair the Frog with this new feature called Internet. It was expensive and not easy but some more cars followed. After some years of hunting, building and collecting, other things in Live got more important and the cars went down in a dark hole, but this time well packed up and dustsafe.
Last week i had to move all the cars and while piling them up, the third phase of Tamiya-Mania broke trough and i pulled them all out of the boxes to check what i can afford now to get them in a good shape. Some cars are reissued now, but some are not, so the Hunt is opened again!
And of course i will update the profile with more pics and cars.
Mostly restored to nearly 100%, the most of my cars are not in perfect order. But i think its always a assessment costs vs. perfection.
and like on real cars some patina is not a downfall. I think its nice to see that they are old and maybe used a bit.
