Been a lifelong fan of Tamiya - started off with a Blackfoot, then a Terra Scorcher, Vanquish and an Astute (followed by a brief dalliance with a Kyosho Mini Cooper) back when I was a kid in the late 80's early 90's.
Returned to the hobby when I saw the re-re Sand Scorcher and haven't looked back since. 2 highlights of my current fleets being the exact Astute that I had as a kid now back in my possession and fully restored and upgraded to a Jamie Booth replica, and the mother of them all, an original Avante :)
Now heavily into restoring old cars and have progressed into restoring and painting cars for other TC members.
