Thank you very much for your interest and message's guy's, As with all things its the magic p's, preparation planning and plenty of patience.
Most paint jobs are done over a week or two I have had several model projects which have taken months to finish and of course work always gets in the way lol. Thanks guys........

Thanks for your kind comments the figures were painted 5 years back and painted just for my web site. At the time I used the box art for the team manager and the tools but decided to go with grey trousers and yellow tops for the mechanics with the driver in a washed out blue, it was just by chance that it works well with the Newman Porsche in fact the figures cloths look very 80's indeed.

Adpecs are hard to get in any condition boxed or loose they are the extra piece in the puzzle for a few of these Tamiya collectors. I think the radios are very important, the right model and year to the car and there are some gorgeous pistol grips from the mid 80's to mid 90's I love the cross over where transmitters start to get complicated! You can get radios in superb shape and condition for not a lot of money. I think they are too cheap and worth allot more than there going for. Maybe that will change? Who knows.

Sounds like your well into your futaba's there is a couple of models from futaba that I am after myself they made some fantastic pistol grips. I always check to see if any pop up on the auction site, just waiting for the right condition one to appear. Magnum junior and the later ones which loom almost twice the size will a flip panel on the side concealing your trims. Great stuff......

Beefmuffin thanks for the comment, good choice I maybe obtaining another Avante for a light use runner if such a thing is possible the temptation for flooring it and a few jumps might be to muuch tho lol..........

I am after the Swb Cat myself, hope to obtain one in the future and you are very right about trying to obtain parts if yours are missing, its just not worth buying a missing parts project these cars are very rare compared to Tamiya or kyosho.
Not many about and certainly in my top 10 of very rare rc cars. Love the looks of these especially in white with the lined colour decals.

Klausen thanks for the comment, when you invite a buggy into the living room then it is indeed very special model! A very difficult choice to make and what ever we individual choose its even better when another member feels the same. This one is waiting on a new cabinet then it too will be on view in a more populated area of the house joining a few other worthy legends. ☺ lol

I always liked the idea of having a Porsche RM but there was no where flat and smooth enough to race one when I was a teen, we had car parks but loose stones and chippings every where so not suitable, so we always had off roaders. Thanks for the comment mongoose.......

Thanks emspjay for the comment, It was only in the last year or so I really have taken to the Kyosho range. Some of the early models were just dreadful especially when they were developing monster trucks and realistic vehicle models trying to compete with Tamiya. Still even these have a place in rc history.

Thanks emspjay for the comment, Glad to here from another rc10 owner, I will look out for another early model with a box art body for display, but they are very hard to come across. I would purchase the rerelease if I found one at a sensible price...... Patience is the key word me thinks.......

Thanks scollins its a hard racer to find, I liked the price at first when I found it, made a deal then had it shipped over. There are not that many around so fingers cross it will give me a good return when it leaves me and finds a new owner.
