Beautiful! Clever colour scheme. The orange on the cage looks like it matches that of the decals perfectly.

Almost done! just electrics left

That brings back memories. It looks great and I had forgotton how big the shell is. It must have been at least half as big as me when I had one. No wonder I was so impressed.

Thanks guys. Pastimesteve, my wife designed the colour scheme. She will be chuffed to bits with your comment.

Thanks guys. This kit was an utter joy to build.
I could more than happily build another 10 if I had somewhere to put them. Perhaps some sort of clever ceiling-mounting device is in order :)

Immaculate presentation and peerless detail-work.
Utterly, utterly stunning.

Thanks Gents. I will look out for a driver that might fit, but smoking the windows will not happen. Privacy glass is a pet hate of mine. I'd rather just look at the bits of nice chassis through the windows if all else fails.

Thanks for the comments guys. Crash Cramer, I too like the blue. I just didn't feel it went well with gold, where the darker non-metallic standard blue does. My mistake. Thanks for the tip on the springs mongoose. I might do it, but it's destined to be a basher, so not sure it's worth it. But will um and ahh about it for a bit for sure.

Thanks Gents. I do intend to run it, but on a fairly flat but loose surface, so the chances of rolling it are kept to a minimum. I just think a light coating of road dust will make it look better in the same way that most off-road cars look better when they're dirty.

Thanks very much for the comments chaps. Please be aware njmlondon, that it is incredibly easy to overdo the white. I believe I have gone a bit over the top here. It's not bad, but it does almost (but not quite) defeat the effort of doing the underlying camo. If you are to do it to yours I recommend far lighter coats, thinned far more than you think you need to, and even then, to leave for 24hrs before you add more just in case the white changes in intensity as it dries. You cannot be too careful. Please be warned.

Excellent story. You must be very proud, and rightly so. A beautiful car!

Thanks very much bjorklo, neobrunox and Grumpy pants. For the first time I did all the painting and stickering before even breaking open any of the blister packs. Did the final chassis build listening to 80s music. What a nostalgic blast it was!

Thanks Gents, glad you like it. I was a bit worried that it would look too agricultural, but I'm really pleased with it. AndyjcClod, yes I remeber those they were nasty......but lovely, like Fab ice lollies :)

Awesome. I love the colour you have chosen, and the comedy of these things. Makes me immediately think of that old Nintendo 64 Mario Kart game from way back. I had a lot of fun with that. Like the Damon Hill rowing-club crash helmet as well. I used to be obsessed with F1 when he was driving.

Thanks again for your kind comments everyone. I never could have imagined green would be so popular. A 70s revival perhaps, I've noticed brown seems popular on 1:1 cars at the moment as well.
Tamiya TS22 for anyone liking the colour enough to use it.

Thanks for the nice comments. @Cesco, you were correct on your 2nd guess. I got them from Canada. Sorry I don't have the link anymore.

Thanks ladies444, I found it difficult too that's for sure. You have no idea how long I've been putting off building it out of sheer cowardice!

Oh my! I reckon that actually looks more convincing than the original un-messed-about-with movie footage.
Simply fantastic!
