Absolutely stunning. Brings back great memories, as despite loving my Tamiyas at aged 15. My first real car was a LR SWB SERIES III and the second being a LR 90. Both with Weber wheels and too many upgrades. They would go anywhere.

Thanks guys for your comments. I've been off the tamiya circuit for a little while, with work taking up too much time, but with the situation we are all in I shall post more of my restorations over the following days. When I have time there is nothing better than looking at all your restorations, builds and creations. After all this time looking for a decent HS2, I won another on EBay last night to start a second restoration. Klausen I noticed on your showroom you also have a brilliant example, have you still got it ?

I know exactly how you feel. I've SOLD a few cars in the past that I now regret ! Re building my collection including a Vintage Hornet Restoration that I shall Show Room over the next few days. A classic car, but the Grasshopper was my first Love, as my first car, and all my parents could afford at the time. I Remember building it with my late Father at the age of 11.

I just love the JPS LOTUS. Never had a Tamiya model, but my first Scalextric set had one. Only last week I was given boxes and boxes of 80's Scalextric for my 2 Boys, only to find a mint Boxed JPS LOTUS Scalextric car from my childhood . An amazing timepiece wether big or small.

Thanks Guys, This to me is just a Great Childhood memory. The best news is ...I now have an Original Un -Run 1984 GRASSHOPPER !!! Still with its 380 Motor... Just to finish my story. I'll post the photos soon !!!

Cheers Guys. The joys of Lock Down spending far too much time on Ebay !!! The car was just advertised as a Hornet, and it wasn't until I scrolled through the photos I saw the Black Metalic Logo.
Haven't got a clue what it's worth but paid £120.00. Deal or no Deal ?

Thanks Guys. It took me nearly 2 years get the Mrs to agree to promote the cars from the garage to the house. No stopping me now !!!! Last week I managed to get the large Lego Yoda his own shelf in the living room and my Banksy art on the walls. Taken me 20 years, but finally seem to be getting my way. Ocassionally. ??
