This modified early 80's Toyota 4X4 pick-up reminds me a lot of the Mountaineer pick-up model that Tamiya released a decade later.

By the way, would you consider the Mountaineer a Bruiser re-release?

It's red and rolls with 48 inchers...

Nice monster truck. And i would not consider the mounty a bruiser rerelease. Its got the same chassis but the body is significantly different. even though there both toyota's.

I might have to agree with slimmy, that might be akin to calling the Bruiser a Hilux re-release based simply on chassis similarity. The body, tires and other tweaks made the Bruiser its own model as did similar changes made the Mounty its own model. Just my .02 cents worth.

@7.2inchdriver: The Ford Aerostar in the back is Bob Chandler's legendary 'Big Foot Shuttle'.

yeah, i remember that thing, chandler was the man. i enjoyed the good old days of monster trucks much more thant the modern rigs. the original bigfoot is still my favorite, before it got really goofy looking.

No. Mountainer is like releasing the MU after the Pajero and Hilux & Blazer to Brusier & Mounty will be like the M02 to M03 chassis.
