By the end of the eighties - when I was a kid/teen - this was the most advanced Tamiya RC car. And also the most expensive and pretty out of reach at that time. So I am pretty happy that I have one of these now. A very nice example in decent condition.

Yes it's pretty nice and it cost me an arm and a leg. But I think it is worth the money. I am not a fan of the Re-Res and I actually prefer the original.

Great to find this brilliant kit NIB, this was my favourite Tamiya buggy from 'back in the day' even though (like the Avante) I knew that compared to the competition (Pro CAT, Optima, YZ-10s etc) it was outclassed in terms of performance & durability - but still a gorgous thing to look at though. I don't think this will get re-re'd as I don't think it captured the buying public's imagination like the Avante did.
