I'm sure most every ORV based Tamiya car owners have gone through the unfortunate experience of breaking the rear suspension trailing arms. Well, this is what I did to solve the problem.
This how-to guide is based on the excellent work that Tcer KingPin did back in 2008 with pieces of meccano (see this: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=80234&sid=21600). Myself, having no access to such thing, I solved the problem with a 2mm thick piece of aluminum. Have a look at my work, because I am sure this can be of help to many of the ORV owners in here.
You all have a GREAT weekend! :)

That looks like a pretty good fix, and looks it may keep them from spreading and striping the axles.

Thanks y'all for the positive comments. I guess one important thing to say about this toturial is that you can get the idea and then make it look and/or work better in your own model car!

Thank you John and Rosey. Well, adding an extra bit to the surface where the stopper lays makes a big difference. Even the axle works better after that. Will post some pictures of that later on this weekend. You all have a great Friday!

Hey there EB, long time no speak. How are you? Thats a great fix. I have been lucky and as yet I have not needed to repair, my spare rear arms have kept my MB's going, but this will undoubtedly be of use over the summer, and I reinforce my suspension mount holes with a cable tie around it! Rosey, try sapping out teh Brat/Frog Stopper Ring for the MB type, they are more secure. I could machine a pair of Ali items with the extra hole (3 screw holes as per MB type) if needed. Ben

Thank you Ben, Neil, Alex, Brian... for the positive comments.
RE: iPod. Well, for kids out there this 2005 model is pretty much a Flintstone iPod. Starting from its b&w screen. Oh, and yes, Neil. I sure remember listening to the Bee Gees on 8-track. I still have my Panasonic 8T deck!
