Well, seeing as the amount of FAV on TC, I guess I'm not the only one who is happy that Tamiya re-re the FAV, so had to get mine as soon as I can. this car would've had been an easy build if I didn't have to keep taking it back apart to paint more stuff on it, If you are planing on getting one of these, do yourself a favor and paint everything as soon as you get the part off the tree Tamiya may have molded body/chassis in the correct color but it is too glossy for a Military vehicle so I had to paint the whole thing and even though some of you like the black color on the roll cage I like it flat body color, this is the first camo paint job I can remember ever doing, looks okay I suppose, as far as the camo on the car itself, I have a mate who was in the US Army that worked as a mechanic at their motorpool who said that the camo on all their US ground vehicles uses a standard 'military approved' pattern for that model and are all paint the same way, ie. desert camo for humvee, tanks..etc, jungle camo for personal carrier, etc, if it's the same model vehicle with the same intended enivoment, their camo pattern will be the same color, location, etc..... which I did not know and that's my excess for using the factory decal camo on the body.
the silver can just scream out 'I don't belong' so in goes another flat black Sport tuned, and no, I did not use the 'bonus' 8x plain bearing, instead I install a set of sealed complete bearing set, as this will see some off road duty in the future. is it just me or you anyone feels that it is tight inside for electronic? so much so that Tamiya included a new style low profile ESC, and I had to use a small Spektrum 2.4 reciver just so I can close the 'hood' seeing as this is a re-re from over 20 years ago how the hek did we install two full size servos, a 4 AA battery holder, and MSC, and a reciever the size of a garage door opener inside back in the day?
the suspension on this thing is bouncier than the grasshopper as the springs are very soft and of cause there is no dampening to speak of, but I do believe that Tamiya is to release a oil damper set for this so if they are scale enough, I will get a set and install them, what do you guys think?

oh, and BRING ON THE WILD ONE!!! most of the parts are already here, and there is a open spot on my shelf......
