I guess if you have seen my stuff before you know I have a little thing for XC/CC01s and I am not sure just how many I have built since my first Isuzu MU X back in the 90s but its likely 30+ of them. Well as I was cleaning and organizing my shop I decided to photograph the ones I have built and own right now. I have a few more NIBs but they don't count as I only show my Built stuff in my showroom ;) Anyway here is the 9 I have right now and some of these have been 'finished' and others are waiting on more details, interiors, that sort of thing but all of these are runners, I just wanted to have them all in one spot in the showroom for reference ideas etc.

1947 Dodge Powerwagon (one of my first customs) 2 Honda CR-V (matches my 1:1 Vehicle) Jeep Wrangler faded blue 2 Jeep Wrangler with lots of body mods (subtle) Mostly stock Wrangler Not stock Wrangler My favorite CC01 Pajero RTR with details started Landcruiser 40 (originally a Pajero) Current 73 Bronco still in progress Picture just to make 10 photos

That's an awesome lineup Seth! I have CR-V and have will eventually mount it on an independent suspension chassis like the TA. Then I'll have a CC chassis for my extra F-350 body. Your work is so inspiring!

Thank you kindly fellers, I agree the CR-V is a real stunner from Tamiya and so often overlooked. Ask Christian 7.2inchdriver how real that body looks when photographed outside, his got stuck in real car reference a few years back when he took a great low angle outdoor shot I think its among if not the best done bodies Tamiya has ever made even if the subject isn't as exciting to most off roaders

I like the built only rule for the showroom, sadly mine would be empty if I was forced to follow suit! I love your work though, the realism and attention to detail is something I can only dream about! It must be rather special having all 9 of them together at once. C..

lol I love NIBs and have nothing against them they just don't fit into my own showroom very well since I see them mostly as future projects Some of them are investments to be sold at later dates or when a new kit I like better comes out Everybody has to have their niche

Some fine looking trucks, and a lot of hours too

Fantastic looking vehicles indeed.
I think I like the orange/red Wrangler the most, and i think the Bronco comes in second.. It looks so nice with those 'low' profile tyres. Just suits that body so nicely.

But wait? Where are the 'Beer Drinkers and Hell raisers' at??.

Cheers.

very nice collection. I especially like the Powerwagon and the faded blue jeep. I'm painting my Jeep Wrangler right now, struggling to mask the curve of the fenders neatly. Any tips on how to get this right!?

Thanks fellers, the tip I use for painting the Wrangler fenders is that I paint them freehand with a quality brush, if you look close they are wavy in spots, I find them simply to frustrating to paint and mask, I do mask the roof with Tamiya tape. I have had a Jeep in the past (not one of these) where I masked it suscessfully using narrow tamiya tape along edge and a razor knife to get a clean edge, it took at least an hour to mask and tried my patience so if you have the nerve doing it by hand saves a lot of tape

Seth, I spray the fenders first, it's a lot easier to mask the fenders, (the straight edge of the tape almost wraps around them naturally), then spray the body color and you get really clean lines.

Congrats Seth. Your patience and modelling skills got a great prize. I´ve received the 2012 March RC Car Action issue and your ride is the best of the month... Enjoy your new Novak stuff.

Nice linup. One of my favorites you had was the blue, Blackfoot bodied XC.

yeah me to B, it was only CC I ever 'wore out'. I plan to build another Blackfoot CC01 very soon since the Blackfoot shell is back again.

I have much love for your XC/CC 01 collection I would be hard pushed to say which I like best but I think the Powerwagon just snatches first place
