So this is what happens if you ask too much of your car during a race!
I went to a track in Belgium last month (in the weekend of my birthday). I had a great race weekend, but the track was very unforgiving: everything was breaking stuff on their cars. Until that point I had only lost a front shock tower (in a practice session). In the last final of the race day however, I pushed my luck (too far): The car crashed for a ...th time. The car landed on it's wheels but I immediately saw something was wrong: The front end was nearly touching the ground. However, it did still seem driveable, and with my best race result at stake, I decided to continue. Though it wasn't my best final heat, the car held out and I finished... without losing any more positions after the crash!
I inspected the car when I came home. The damage was a cracked front arm and a snapped suspension mount. I'm amazed that the arm didn't snap in two (in the crash or in the 2 minutes of running after the crash), I guess I got very lucky there! :) It goes to show how tough these cars really are!

Looks like a nice weekend you had! One thing I experienced from racing is that our cars can either run flawlessly or crap despite lots of preps and prayers! In your case it was the use of the Force!

It was an amazing weekend! I certainly was lucky that weekend: Best qualifying result (21 of 40, ALMOST in the B-finals for the first time) and best race result (23 of 40) - I matched the race result two weeks later, which was the last nationals race of the year... A good way to end the season!

And then I'm not even mentioning the luck I had with not breaking the car terminally or breaking the front shock tower I had on the car on the race day (I had no spare ones left)!

Yes that's a very good thing! TRF stuff can be difficult at times to get!

I did the same with a rear 501X arm, finished the race! I have plenty of spare left arms for 201 and 502 as I keep shattering right rears!

@Aussie Top Force: I saw your post on oOple! How does that happen on the rear? I've never broken anything on the rear end so far, it seems pretty bulletproof there to me. Is it only since you started using the Exotek +8mm rear end or not?
