Got this a few months ago. Good mate Renco5012 decided I must own one by the uncontrollable giggles at the last NZTC meet. He got me to drive this little beasty while he took some photos and I couldnt stop laughing at how well it went on such a short wheelbase. It has quite a few modifications, some enhance the performance, some just to keep everything going for another day. I have changed a couple of things since I got it, some by choice, some by neglegence (busted the frog lower shock mount, which means I have to change back to grasshopper shocks). And I did think of restoring it but it would need a new chassis carcass and new body, and unless it I can find those, it will stay as is. Its a comical little bugger, and the laughs far outweigh the princely sum of two 2.2 hobbyking batteries I swapped for it. Thanks Mike, I owe ya one mate! ;)

Complete with Hikuwai mud splatters! BZ is no longer in there, bit much for the ol girl Bro-fessional battery strap... kiwi ingenuity! plenty of fun times with this beast!

@matman I didn't tell you about the jandals in the tyres for foams, marmite in the diff and melted pinapple lumps holding the body together? @JWeston: that is exactly what it is, get one quick! @RACECRAFTERS: Hey Malo, it sure is, you dont have to be so cautious with this little fella, it's hilarious, easy to put up on two wheels aswell! Remember the body is made out of two shells with metal plates and pop rivets holding the lot together, plus those other nifty bent steel brackets on the rear suspension are pure hack-saw quality. Don't forget that bro-fessional suspension pivot upgrade - I was advanced for my time, not even Tamiya thought to do that! I still think the best feature I added was the cable tie spring adjusters which appear to still be working fine! My Yellow Peril will be ready for when I'm over next so it'll be a Paj showdown

berman

18-Apr-2013

Yeah one of the pop rivet plates has fallen off the body, I've broken off the left side front bumper again, broken the frog lower shock mount so I am going to use grasshopper shocks but I am missing a spring. I will have it ready when you come back over, 'White Lightning' is going to show your yellow dandelion what 'Rangi-ghetto-mods' are all about...

Renco5012

18-Apr-2013

I dunno mate, that sounds like a challenge! Yellow Peril will be more advanced, I've got oil shocks ready to go for all four corners and my highly tuned 1980's plastic bearings in the gearbox will keep up with you on the performance stakes, lol. Nah, better replace those actually as those li-po's might really grind 'em up. But anyway, I'll win this showdown, you've got all that extra weight with those pop rivets! I'll be enjoying a cool & refreshing Lion Brown at the finish line waiting for the hangi to be done...

berman

18-Apr-2013

ROFL! I am going to drill out the centre of the pop rivets for weight reduction, (plus when they break I will lose half a body for even more weight reduction!) Then remove an screws that arent important, like the ones holding the wheels together, take the windscreen out for that indoor/outdoor flow, plus I am going to jack the rear up a bit higher because everybody in the 80's knew that made you faster Like your Lion Brown, your going down! lol

Renco5012

30-Aug-2013

Actually you can get away with one screw each in the wheels, I've done it cos I was poor as once, eh cuz. It's a magical shell that one, a pure handling enhancing racing bred design that enables itself to shed excess weight while on the move for even more spirited performance. Why jack the rear up even more? My home-made-hack-saw-quality-limited edition shock mounts have already added more than enough to envigorate the suspension travel

berman

30-Aug-2013

I prefer to have none, that way when one falls off it will pass me to take the chequered flag! Its magic alright, magic how it still stays together! But that is the case with these race machines! I was going to jack it up a bit more, so it doesnt flip with the raw powah it makes I agree, makes it tight like a tiger, ...a king tiger. I was going to add my own custom mods, like a 2 story high 'GT' wing made from frc, thats fibre reinforced cardboard for you younguns, plus the twin pinstripe, for 10 more hp, but I am not sure the world is ready for my brofessional rangimods
