These are the very first editions of Tamiya's own model magazines. They contain every thing Tamiya, from static scenes, tanks, bikes, ships and every thing else that they produce. They also contain new model reports, build reports and visits to tracks, show etc. They provide a fascinating glance into the development of what we now consider legends and collectible models. I came across these along with a load of other vintage model magazines. There are some great adverts and build reports. There is also a Model Cars magazine from December 1983. Any one fancy a Blazing Blazer for £99.95? Or how about the complete deal with radio, battery, charger etc for £175? Ah,those were the days. I felt quite sick though when i spotted the advert for a Tamiya dealer in Kent who were selling new Rough Rider body sets for £12.99 and Sand Scorcher body sets for £14.99. Oh how i wish i had stocked up back then....... Mind you,i was only 11 years old!

These were in a lot of later rc magazines Issue 1!! 1985. They go up to issue 7,then 1990s. For all those HotShot fans....MK1 advert Build report for the mk 1 HotShot and FAV New Techniplus/new Bigwig. Shiny Grasshopper Ah,one of my favorites, the Brat Check out the prices and feel ill.......

Very good find, I have wanted to get my hands on some of those early prints to read them and check out the ads. I feel sick all the time when I read through some of my old mags here and see the prices.
You have an interesting collection of mags here as there is a RIKO ad and an MRC, two continents represented for Tamiya agents.

Having gone through some of the others, there are some club magazines from America with such gems as comparisons between the Blazing Blazer and Hi-Lux and one article where the testers raced all of the SRBs together to see which was the best. If only i had a time machine....
