Well after getting the DB01R and getting a new Durga body on it, I really was in 2 minds to leave it as is. But decided not to. I also didn't want a glorious paint job, more so the time that I just don't have these days especially with my little one. So I decided to do a similar scheme to what I did many years back for a fellow TC member (F201 body that he raced in the Tamiya Eurocup) .

But with a wee twist. I decided to paint the whole body and rear wing PS31 smoke. 3 light coats was enough to keep it semi transparent but still dark enough to give a good backing for the same decal set I used back then. Tamiya 53550 Marking Sticker (Flag Type) . After carefully cutting all the decals out I then set about placing them in different locations of the body using some masking tape to get an idea of how certain ones would look in certain places. Eventually deciding upon where the large side ones would go first. Marking with a pen and cutting to size. Then carefully setting them into position in 1 go around the curves of the Durga body wasn't easy and there were some small air bubbles towards the rear section, but overall not too bad. :)

After that the others were again placed carefully into their position to make sure the lines sort of flowed. I really didn't want a random mish mash of decals.

An well, here is the finished article. Not a glorious paint job, but something a little different to the norm. I also added some Tamiya Dust Covers for the ball studs and also a TRF 501X Aluminium Steering Bridge to get rid of all the slop in the steering (which has worked, totally slop free now)

Nice job - the marking stickers work well, they just need a bit of thought on how best to utilise them on different models
