Contemporary look

I always buy blue for some odd reason. Clothes I buy are always blue, maybe I should get into therapy to get to the bottom of it.. Anyway the first Mojave was in this respect of course painted blue but I wanted a different color. Spend hours of thinking painting it either matt black or just the plain white. No decesion made untill one day the 1982 Main Tamiya catalogue was on top of the pile and the page just stopped on 71! That picture should be in old Hugh's magazine in the middle with the staples:) Decision made promptly to give the new Mojave body the 58028 look! Six spray cans of Italian red were emptied. I used the repro decals from ebay. The striping decals and the direct connection decals are actually better than the OEM. And of course a little more affordable: that 15 Euro is well spent. I also found a metal casted grille on eBay. Normally the fender holes are filled but this is like the real thing. The buckets are also casted and it looks like CChand indicator lights are included. It weights about a ton but this car is not for speed anyway. The 1.55 wheels & tires were swapped for 1.9 in bad ass chrome. I hope you like it.
