F650 Deadbolt Monster at the Beach
Hi all,
I was long overdue to take my Axial Monster Truck to the beach for a good run. Had the day off, and the giant winter Oahu North Shore waves subsided a bit for some safe beach action. There was some nice flat packed sand and a sweet 4-5 ft high sand CLIFF!
The truck ran great and this was my 1st serious outing with LiPo and Brushless power...EVER! The 1st test run with the LiPo last week in the backyard resulted in the Axial tranny eating the center idler gear, so there's a new steel set installed ;-)
Pics are just so so, but I have video of some FOFF action that I'll try to upload soon. This is a big truck with a 14.5' wheelbase, but it bashed around superbly!

Thanks for looking y'all.
@Steve, I never stray too far from TC, but my RC building and driving time has taken a backseat to other things this year. Do you have any builds planned for the new year?

Great looking truck and pictures too.

@mrmtodd, completely understand! Same thing happens to me. Currently teaching myself how to braze -- trying to design a scx10-based vw rock bug.

@Steve: I've been meaning to learn how to graze for some years now, never got around to it. My Hasbro Jeep needs a roll cage . Good luck to you, and be sure to post your creation when done😊
