Fighting Buggy, what a Super Champ! Part 1.
My first ever RC car was a Tamiya Super Champ. I started in RC somewhere at the age of 14 years old. Before that I was already building many plastic models from somewhere age 6 years and up. Mostly 1:24 cars, some of Revel, mostly of Tamiya. Some of which I still have around.
I bought most of my plastic models at a certain hobby shop in The Hague and it was there that I first got interested in RC and in one specific new Tamiya RC model displayed on one of the shelfs. The Tamiya Super Champ!
There was something about it that I just had to own one. So after a long time saving up enough money and checking out if it was not sold yet. One day I finaly had enough money to buy it.
Then the fun started. Building it, driving it and making it better and faster. Man, I loved it. The problem was that at a certain moment it broke down and parts where not available anymore. So somewhere in my live I got rid of it. And still regret it.
Fast forward to 2014. Tamiya did a rere under the name Fighting Buggy. I did not think twice and bought one. It took me two years before I started building it (summer 2016), but now it is finally done.
It has quite some hopups/upgrades. Metal and aluminium gears, aluminium wheels and a extra set of wheels with Sand Scorcer tyres, metal bearings, a metal strengend plate, a diff protection metal plate, aluminium servo horn, aluminium front bumper and a Tamiya Sport Tuned engine.
But pictures say more than words, so enjoy!
