Thought it was about time to make this truck more capable. Bought some fatter grippier tyres, D90 style front guard, softer springs and some alloy propshafts which seems to have transformed the model. Done a few classic car show displays and tried out the mountain at Radshape

That's a cool truck, I have the cheap Hg six wheeler with all the upgrades, runs real well but the Merc body lets it down, been thinking of scratch building something like this.

Pic 2 is great, I really 'dig' natural outdoors shots.
Dig.... see what I did right there

Those HG trucks are great value for money. I bought one myself second hand although the seller wanted it back before trying any different bodies. LOL @ Thommo. The Cross trucks are great out the box although need to fit the chunkier tyres and alloy propshafts if you want to do serious crawling

These are so nice. When I'm done with my projects(seems never ending) i want to get one of these and do some scale driving etc. Are these the Cross make? I'm not sure which i want. Its either KC6L 6x6 1/12 Military Truck Kit or GC4 1/10 4x4 2-Speed Truck Kit. Yours is a great example.

Radshape Open Day was March 2015 Steve. The concrete mountain was brutal if you got it wrong. These are the Cross models. Not really heard of a couple of years ago but started bringing out some cracking different models. My current favourite is the long wheel base pick up truck PG4L. Simon Green in this country loves them so much he's a UK distributer for Cross
