1999 YZR 500 Yamaha static 'patience build'

I started this kit back in 2005!!! and it stayed in the box until this week,,, I'm determined to finish it once and for all. A good way to build patience for your R/C body painting skills is to build static model kits. Especially a Tamiya motorcycle model kit! Trust me. But I have to admit it is nearly impossible to find time to do this the last several years as a busy father so ended up working on this late when everyone else is asleep!! R/C cars are so much easier and faster to build,,lol.... Just added some 'dirty spots' to the expansion chambers on the exhaust, its been a while since I weathered anything on a static kit.. Also some pics of some recent vintage finds at an old hobby shop I discovered in Milwaukee last week,,,so yes,, I am building up my static kit collection back up you could say......Cheers- scollins
