Got this one from TC Member 3 - Speed in about 2012. There it stood on my desk up until beginning of last year when i decided to restore not just the Blazer, but all the 3 - Speeds i got(4) over the years. The chassis i cleaned only as i wanted to keep it close to original. The shell was sprayed by a local coating company. The detailing was done by a guy i met who sprays cockpits for model flying planes and helicopters. Its has period Graupner Electronics and a Tamiya Battery. Now to find a spot for this beauty away from potential harm and dust...easier said than done. Just very happy as it was a long and tiring journey. Thanks for looking. Comments always welcome.
1 As i got it

Is that a BEFORE and AFTER photo? I have one to restore myself and I noticed it looks like there are two resistors on the motor supply wires in one shot and then the rubber coated bullets I am used to seeing in another shot.
Fuijo
Such a good looking truck. As 3-speeds go, I've never liked anything monster-truck related, and the Blazer never really appealed, but
this one is just lovely. A fantastic paint-job as well. Stunning!
Puffdog
Thanks Fuijo, but i cant take credit for the paint work...that was done by a professional coating company and the shell looks like its covered in glass. They do awesome work. Chris thanks for the kind words...and you have a good eye - I am restoring 2 other hiluxes so i may have confused parts...lol

Very nice, great looking hilux. I have an empty glass box on my desk if you're struggling to find room
Puffdog

Grumpy pants
Stunning.
casethejoint
Fantastic box art example. Deserves its place on the shelf
Tamiyastef
I allways had a soft spot for the original hilux and this one looks absolutely ace! I would really like a re-re of this one! Can't afford an original because I know I can't resist driving it and they're way to expensive to be driven the way I drive...
johnny4cross
Absolutely one of the coolest trucks to be released by Tamiya. Congrats thats a keeper.
Puffdog
Thanks for the kind words Grumpy Pants/Casethejoint/Johnny4cross. Tamiyastef, hopefully you get original or re re. Honestly I'm not apposed to it getting re released.
