Got this in a trade a few years back. Was really in bad shape. Last year i decided to restore not just the Blazer, but all the 3 - Speeds i got(4) over the years. The chassis was polished as where the wheels. The radio box was cracked and broken in alot of places. After the repairs, all these showed so i thought I'd try something a little different seeing as i already have a box art example...so i had it hydro dipped in a wood grain finish. The body i repaired myself, was in very very bad shape. The shell was sprayed by the same company that did the electronics box. The detailing was done by a guy i met who sprays cockpits for model flying planes and helicopters. Electronics are vintage as well. Now to find a spot for this beauty away from potential harm and dust...easier said than done. Just very happy as it was a long and tiring journey. Thanks for looking. Comments always welcome.

Love the originality of this one. Goes to show there is always something different one can do with design.
Amazing collection you have mate.

That is great looking and I think the box in wood was a perfect idea. I only wish I had the top to my box to even attempt to restore it to anything resembling a complete water tight box. That is a great color idea and I shall push forward with my black idea. I did cave in and buy reproduction tires, but I did entertain the BFG tires for some time.

Really beautiful good idea with the radio box! Can I ask how you get your alloy clean? I'm in the middle of restoring a ford ranger I'm 99% finished the body and all the alloy and brass bit are striped ready for clean but I'm not sure what to use for the best results?

Thanks Peter.Ladies444...i have some models 100% original...but in saying that it doesn't phase me at all in doing something different. @Crash, nothing wrong with deviating from the norm, you will see in my showroom i do that often, one must do what ones budget dictates...so i often go the cheaper route...lol. Thanks for the compliment Moffman, I'll send you a email with how i do it.
