This is the Traxxas Son uva Digger of my youngest son Nick. It is originaly a Traxxas Son uva Digger, but now also has a Bigfoot body, so it is a bit of both.

Back in 2013 I gave it for his birthday and it is still going strong.

Originaly a 2WD XL-5 version that came RTR with a 27MHz transmitter. Well, it is not original anymore. Traxxas makes some great RC cars, but the XL-5 brushed engine is not the best one. So after again one broke done, that had to go. And in with a Team Orion Combo Neon 19 (2750KV motor +R10 Sport controller) brushless set. It is a set for Tamiya, but after changing the battery plug from a Tamiya to a Traxxas one, also works great in the Son uva Digger. It is pretty quick.

All bushes are changed for bearings. A RPM front bumper is added and so is a Traxxas wheeliebar and a RPM engine protector. Engine wires are blue mesh sleeved. The Son uva Digger body has a Traxxas LED kit. The 27MHz transmitter and receiver are swapped for a 2.4GHz Flysky set. The original Traxxas servo with plastic gears is replaced for a stronger waterproof and metal geared Power HD LW-20MG servo. And slowly when something breaks we upgrade the Son uva Digger / Bigfoot with stronger RPM and Traxxas TRX aluminium parts. The Son uva Digger body is not available anymore, so I bought a secondhand Son uva Digger for a spare body. And I also bought a Bigfoot body, so now there is a choice. Go Son uva Digger or go Bigfoot.

As you can see it is a runner and it gets used very often. On asfalt, grass, the beach or making jumps at the skatepark. This is one fun RC Monster Truck. It is also the one I have to repair the most, as my son does not spare this one.....
