Not another Willy...!!!
It wouldn't surprise anyone if I said I like the Wild Willy 2. They look great and they're tough, fun bashers. But I hadn't got a box art one, so something had to be done...
These things are quite detailed and I wanted to do a nice job so it took some time. A few little extra jobs too - hacked off the lump under the floor and filled the hole, made a back for the fuel can, metal winch hook, twin NOS bottles, SRB aerial and a mini servo embedded in the seat to make the driver's head turn.
The chassis has bearings, steel pinion, CVA shocks and colour-coded gearbox brace and wheelie bar wheel. I don't like the chrome wheels so I painted them white like the original M38. And yes, the springs were chosen for their colour!
Willy decided against box art for his gear so his helmet is supposed to be a nod to the original M38 design and his overalls are meant to look a bit more textured and worn, rather than white and pristine!
Anyway, enough waffle, hope you like it.
Cheers,
Rob
