Top Force - Project #neovintage
I had the Top Force back in the days and raced it for a very long period. So I was happy to get one in very good shape a couple of months ago...just before Tamiya announced te re-release of that car. Well - this one was ready to race by the time the re-release hit the shelves.
It features a homemade carbon chassis and shock stays. As the car will be a racer, it was equipped with a 13,5T motor and Hobbywing speedo.
Because I use shorty-lipos I had enough space to mount the speedo there, so all the cables could be very short and tidy. A Savöx 1257TG-Servo does the job in nearly all my cars and so it does in my Top-Force as well.
As I didn't find any Hi Cap shocks I used Associated shocks for the first rollout. But these were exchanged by Losi shocks from a 22 buggy, because I think these are just the finest shocks around.
I can thell you - this is the smoothest suspension-action in any of my Tamiya buggies. It just runs great.
The new bodyshell and wing (original - no repro) was painted in my trademark Gulf-racing colours with homemade cut stickers which I think fit the Top Force bodylines very well.
I let you know how the racing on the german vintage buggy meeting on the 1st of october went.

Wow love it!
What wheels and tires are you using in the first picture?
Aurigarius
These are Losi dish-wheels. These are very similar to all those recent competition wheels which are available from Schumacher, Associated and half a dozen other companies.
