Well a friend of mine said why don’t we build a couple of Srb bashers to run on the beach, this is my attempt lol, I got to say I bought. Chassis off Radshape thinking it would be stronger but it’s so soft in fact I would say it’s rubbish for the money, I reinforced it with a carbon base, also made silver steel front suspension shafts hardened and tempered and ballraced them. Bronze bushes for rear suspension so no need for grease that attracts sand, hope you like it

Looking good, I was quite surprised to see you working on an SRB 😃
Hope to a video of these beach runs, it's where they are most at home.

Great work. Can't wait to see it running with your mates.

I know I not worked on an Srb for a while, I have not been too well for a few months so a good friend of mine said he had a bag of bits enough to make a car and why don't we just make a few bashers for the beach. Well I thought why not, so I started on the build, I wondered if I could fit a brushless motor in it as I know the gearbox is a of a funny size and only takes one sort of motor. I only had to turn .5mm off the front of for motor to fit perfectly, I have fitted a diff but feels terrible even with new balls. I mounted a low profile servo in the front for steering and coil over shocks, beefed up the chassis as the Radshape one is only good for a shelf queen. I also got double bearing rear wishbones, re re front arms, bronze bushes In the rear wishbone mounts, so bought a Kamtec Body Lexan and stainless bolt kit.
So I hope it's tough enough we will see 😊

Nice work!! Now that is an SRB brought up to new standards! I bet it will be a blast and handle well!

Very cool project! I generally build for the shelf but I'm starting to do stuff where if it was it would run correctly ie proper suspension set up etc. A lot of this Tamiya out the box stuff is in-practical, like springs for shocks that are just too strong etc Keep us posted on this one as Ive always wanted to see an SRB run properly with power and performance. Its going to look too nice to run.
