The past years I bought 3 good used Wild Willy’s. I had sorted all the parts in good, medium and bad quality for quit a while but never build one. Last December I finally finished one with all the ‘good’ parts.

Had to spray the body, because even the ‘good’ one had lots of scratches and of course a broken grill…. From then on I decided to improvise an let go of the box-art examples. I used Tamiya AS-19 and some spare decals.

First time I painted a Willy and it’s clear I need some more practise, but luckily it’s easy to swap for another try.

Thank you for your kind comments. While looking at the pictures I thought that it might need some extra details. The orangs lights above the rear wheel arches, paint the clips at the bonnet. And I would like the Hella decals at the roof lights instead of these 'Brite lite' ones.

Willy rocks! Great work so far, and will pop that little extra when you do the details you mention!
