Super Hornet freshly restored

Some photos of a newly restored Super Hornet. It had waited its awakening in a friend’s cellar — alongside other Tamiya classics. I tried to keep as many original parts as possible. So most of it dates back to the mid 90s. But I had to replace the tyres because the old ones simply fell into pieces: Ashes to ashes, … . I also replaced the electronics and installed the motor and the esc I had kept from my Neo Fighter.
Later on, I replaced the blue dampers by the original ones, cleaned up the body, fixed lots of decals that were peeling of and added a driver figure. His eyes seem to express a certain anxiety. Maybe he is used to driving to driving more modern stuff.
