I always wanted a Tamiya Countach ever since I saw one in an old catalogue. It really is one of the most famous Supercars.
This car was made up from old Countach Chassis parts and many new ones. The Body was from an old but mint Boxed body parts set No 5062.
The body was sprayed red This was then rubbed down and polished to give a mirror smooth finish. 3 Hours was taken to mask the black areas. The window glazing was a poor fit so I used a razor saw to divide the window sections. Each piece of glazing was fixed to the body individually to make a neat job.
Finally Mirrors, Exhausts, Wiper, Number Plate and Lights were fitted and the model was finished.
This was a very satisfying model to make and I glad it is now part of my collection.
