The Real HKS Altezza

Well here is that crazy carbon creation. I'm told it was only built to beat a track record in Japan, and it did on one of the first full speed runs! The sad part is that was the one and only time this great machine will see the track as now it's used for show purposes only with most of the drivetrain removed for easy shipping. It's owned by HKS Japan
and spends most of it's time at the Fujinomiya Sizuoka-ken factory, where this crazy beasy was put together. loosely based on the 2000 model Toyota Altezza, although not much of it is left! Running under the bonnet a 2.2L four-cylinder (3S-GE) lump; 87mm bore x 90mm stroke; HKS GT3037S ball-bearing turbocharger with Racing wastegate, custom intercooler and pipes; HKS camshafts, forged nickel-plated (10.2:1 compression) pistons, titanium-coated piston rings, forged fully counterweighted crankshaft, F-CON V Pro fuel management system, stainless steel turbo exhaust manifold, cam gears, Twin Power ignition, iridium spark plugs, EVC Pro boost controller (boost set at 1.67 bar or 24.22 psi), custom oil cooler, XTrac six-speed sequential transmission. All pulling together to give an awsome 600 raw horses at 8,000rpm and 450 lb-ft of torque at 6,000rpm, all rolling on 18x11 Advan TCII Pro Centerlock wheels, Advan tires and 6 pot Alcon brakes all round. If you can look past the flowing and aggressive lines of that custom carbon-fiber body panels and flares to the cabin you find Bride carbon racing seats (that weighs just 3kg - the same as one of glamour model Jordan's breasts!!!), custom carbon-fiber dash, a ton of gauges, buttons, and switches that mere mortals, like us, shouldn’t touch. Awsome.
