My biggest passion when restoring or building cars is searching out parts and watching them grow into complete cars. I know this isn't the cheapest way of doing things but I don't keep a total so I never know what they have cost me. I started out building this FAV about a year ago and have slowly collected every single part new. Today I have just finished the tyres and the result looks pretty good. This will have pride of place in my collection. Now to finish the rest of the cars I have as projects.

I am hoping to achieve even half the awesome stance of yours by building my FAV2011. I didn't quite use the same color scheme on mine and TamiyaManDan did the painting as well as I used some different tires, but if you follow in the forum build, you might like what I have done to it. Sure would like to see under the hood into the electrics on yours.

Thanks Crash. Despite selling over 50 of my electric collection the FAV wasn't one that I wanted to let go. Despite being a bit dusty she still looks good but the re-release has made it a bit more common. I still feel she looks good just as Tamiya intended and doesn't need loads of extra stuff attached. 12 years after i listed her on this site It's good to still get feedback.

Well, I think that is the beauty of a work of art, it can be inspiration for many to come. I figure if TamiyaClub can continue to exist and at the rate of Tamiya's RE RE, we will all have something to post that is vintage and original and hard sourced on the authentic parts(my HotShot was a similar story) and we can also have a RE RE shown of the same car. , I know it is pro and con with the RE RE, but if it weren't for the generosity and kindness and friendliness of the folks I have met on TC, I wouldn't be building an FAV myself, so I thank you for some inspiration and I thank SCollins again for the gift and I thank TamiyaManDan for the paint and I better thank Tamiya for making them.
