IN THE YEAR 2021 a certain Dutchman becomes 50 years. He decides to get himself a really nice present: the car that has been his favourite for about the last 35 years. But not only the car or truck, it should be combined with an experience that matches the feeling: a journey through the US in a true American truck.

The Dutchman buys a F-100 through the internet in the US and sends it to a specialised custom build garage. In a couple of months it is turned into a one-of-a–kind hot rod, according all the specifications by e-mail form its owner. A V8, manual shift, rat rod style paint job and even a number plate with the name of its owners nickname on a hobby-website.

At the exact date of his birthday he flies over to the USA and picks the pick-up-truck up. He than travels through the states for 2 months celebrating the American way of life. After that he ships the truck to the Netherlands and lives on with a nice piece of car history in his garage and on the Dutch roads.

A never-ending memory and a great experience have been made. Never to late to follow your heart!

Hit the road, Case! travelling man so wont break down paint job inside note the roof/ceiling decals the way I like it sequoia fence ? lights on: drive on all night!

THANKS SO MUCH! You are making me feel like its my birthday today! So much really enthousiastic reactions: Like you say I should I am starting to get proud of what I did. Also thanks for the humor like the arthritis and toothbrush stuff! If I ever find scale toothbrush and pain pills, I will put them inside the truck...

VERY cool truck indeed!! Now, if you really want to cross the US in a truck like this, it must have some sort of camper-top mounted on it.

Now, get back to work, and come back with a Cross-Country-Camper-Conversion. And don´t forget the outside-shower thing needed for a trip like this.. (Oh, and DO remember to bring sunglasses also)

Good luck on your journey.

Cheers..
Michael

I love this thing, its right up my straße. I'm pleased for the Dutchman, and secretly jealous too - his 50th birthday was/will be one to remember and one I want to emulate.
Great work and truly inspiring.
