This is one of those rare kits I don't get bored of after I build it, it just always has something I can do to it to make it better or look better. I added some of RC4wds new Dirt grabbers which are my favorite rc tire ever, and I was so excited by these new 3 piece Steel beadlock wheels, they will actually rust yay! I gave them a light coat of flat white and then scratched the paint so they will get nice and rusty next time I drive. I think these wheels and tires look much more scale on this rig than the landy wheels with rock crushers I had before.

Road Burner
The wheel and tire look very scale indeed, Seth. Fantastic work as always!
Crash Cramer
Simply awesome still. Amazing details on the wheels and tires, I will have to save my allowance now to buy myself some. You must get a bulk discount from them since you buy so much and then you advertise for them, they must sponsor you Seth.
7.2inchdriver
that is rediculously awesome.
Wyoming
lol, thanks guys, I pimp the stuff for free because I want to spread the interest in super scale RC around. Tamiya, RC4wd, RPP etc. They probably should pay me but I pay them a huge portion of my funds for their products and then I advertise products for them lol!
Victorious Secret
Excellent work as usual! The weathered orange paint scheme is very 80s, perfect for this old Toyota truck!
MetBoy
I love waiting to see what you do to it next! Seeing the boxart version of this kit does not really make me want to go out and buy one, but seeing this does!! Brilliant!
BiggusDitchus
Great looking truck. Love the wheel and tyre combo suits it perfectly.
SMOKE-DOG
Nice work Wyo. Those wheels/tires are too sweet on there. This truck has aged nicely.
mikef350

_anders_
Nice job Seth, it looks really good! Yet another nice example of your work! Keep on !
thelegos
That's so good !The artist in you shines through Seth
Henk4Focus
Love the way the weight pushes down on the wheels. Agree with you on those wheels. They are gonna be awesome once the are really weathered. Great to hear of products from the suppliers that is worthy of a purchase. So keep on telling us about them.
tamiyaonebay
Looks awesome and very realistic! If the pics were outside you can easily make it look 1/1 scale. Love the weathered look.
tuff bug
Tis looks superb, I look forward to seeing it in your back yard
ranger blue
Awesome Seth looks very stunning
Wyoming
Thanks guys, yes Mike its still a High-lift technically
mr_pushrod

pagedm_f350
Sweet Seth, can't wait to see them all rusted up
SB_Aust
Absolutely amazing detail!!!
CARRERA
You should have a job working for Mr Tamiya! Real nice truck. Is the body on the original mounts or did I read you lowered it?
TIXX74
this is one of the best Hilux i ever seen!! It looks sooo real! FANTASTIC! :|
djupevik
It looks so real! Fantastic! Looking forward seeing that rust
Moondoggie
I am going to have to buy those wheels before they sell out because of this...
CASE1
Woooooow!!! Those wheels and tires are seriously scale and seriously good looking!
BeetleOne
Behind the perfection Seth !!
Wyoming
Thanks fellers, yes I have lowered it drastically, the leaf springs are sitting right on top of the axles, and the alloy body posts have all be cut down and re tapped so it sits as low as possible also the radio tray is pretty cut up so the tranny could pass through center
Tobbe70
This is, for me, the best looking Hilux because all the details, all the work and time put into it just takes it to a level that is very, very hard to reach, at least I would never, ever manage to build something like this. Most definitely a true favourite!
mcovalsk
This comes better and better yet
def4x4
Those wheels and tires are looking great, but i got my ??? about shoudt they have a good grip!!
Wyoming
Thanks guys, I actually ran the tires today and they grip just fine especially on rocks, they are only sold as moderate duty off road tire not a serious mudder which is exactly what I wanted. For this rig the proper scale look is far more important to me than attaining the best possible grip.
GreenMan
WOW Seth, absolute stunning!!! That is an absolute high scale level, you did with your Hilux!!!!! GREAT
amigamad
This is one of my favorites i never tire of seeing this .
Wyoming
Thanks guys, I never tire of working on and driving it which is amazing because some trucks after the build is done they get sold after a run or two, this thing has been run at least 100 times
DeeMiller
Excellent choice of wheels!
superchampjohn
Just like fine wine, this Truck gets better as it ages. Wow.
superchampjohn
I just ordered a set of these wheels & tires for my Hilux. Can't wait......
RMG69
I can't believe it! With all that rust and dirt it really looks as if you just could get in and drive it for real.
Toykid
Dear Mr Tamiya - THIS is how the Hi-lift should have come ( minus the rust ) Awesome work. You never get tired of working on it. I never get tired of looking at it.
dr.roberts
Truly the best hilux builds on TC. Awesome!
Daz87UK
toykid hit the nail on the head... if it came like this i would buy one... until then... my money goes on realistic looking trucks with realistic ground clearance
Daz87UK
p.s. it needs a headlamp glass missing with rusty chrome
Daz87UK
p.s. my p.s. it needs 5mm 1:1 car dash clock bulbs for age realism... sod the led's
Wyoming
Well it needs headlights to be in good repair to be road legal and the lights are just upgrades, I put modern super bright bluish/white headlights in my 1:1 69 Toyota Landcruiser when I was driving that
Daz87UK
i now have one [Click here]
scorcherboy77
...spot on! ...great job! ...straight to my favorites!
